Service Description
Are you a new mother, feeling overwhelmed by the challenges that come with raising a young child? As parents, we often focus on preparing for birth and perfecting routines, but we are not always warned about the difficulties that arise in the next stage of parenting. Terms such as "terrible twos" and "threenagers" may be all too familiar, but did you know that the underlying cause of these behavioural issues is often a cry for connection? Childhood psychologists have stated that 80% of parenting involves connection, which can transform the parent-child relationship and move us from coercion, bribery, and control to one of cooperation and mutual respect. Connection parenting is an approach that emphasises love over fear, with the goal of securing and maintaining a healthy, strong bond between parent and child. Pam Leo, the author of Connection Parenting, has stated that children need a minimum dose of vitamin C - connection - to thrive. If you want to learn more about the principles of Connection Parenting and how it can benefit you and your child, join us for an introductory session on 29 March 2023 via webinar at 12 PM. Lisel Varley will guide us through the importance and benefits of this approach. Don't miss out on this opportunity to create a deeper, more meaningful relationship with your child.
