Course details

Two x 4.5hr classes on consecutive Saturday mornings 08:30- 13:00.

HKD2,280 including training materials and certificate of completion.

Detailed feedback provided to the employer on the helper's performance on the course's tests.

This comprehensive and interactive 9hr course is set over two Saturday morning sessions. The first session focusses on child-care including areas such as:

Successful employer / employee communication.

Choking hazards.

Hazard identification and risk control measures.

The principles of home safety & hygiene.

SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) & safe sleep practices.

Soothing a baby.

Bottle hygiene, safe bottle feeding and weaning to solids.

Bathing a baby.

Educational play and stimulation.

Taming toddler tantrums.

Care of the older child.
The second session covers our popular Paediatric First Aid & CPR course:

What to do in an emergency.

Victim assessment.
-
CPR, choking, shock, including anaphylactic shock.

Bleeding, burns, head injuries, serious injuries, poisoning, allergies, heat and cold emergencies.

General care of the sick baby or child.
